Make Your Voice Heard

by Barry White

Next year's NUJ delegate meeting will be held in Southport from 19-22 April and branches are invited to make nominations for a number of elected offices and councils/committees by 21 November. Branches are also invited to submit motions for consideration by the delegate meeting. Again the deadline is 21 November.

This is your chance to influence union policy, by submitting motions and hold the national exutive to account for their activities since the last delegate meeting in April 2016.

Being a member led union which prides itself on its democratic values, this is your opportunity to make your voice heard on a wide range of policy issues, as well as suggest nominations for the various bodies elected at the delegate meeting.

This can be done at either the 11 October and/or 8 November branch meeting, when the branch will also be seeking to put together its delegation to attend the Southport meeting.

So come and play your part in the democratic process by making your voice heard.
